rant site anywhere on the web where they HAVEN'T attacked emos. I mean yeah, the
bastards are whiny and listen to shitty music, but get the fuck over it already.
The way I see it, if you take that much time and space to complain about someone
you accuse of complaining too much, doesn't that make you something of a
hypocrite?
Not even emos give a fuck about emos anymore. They have horrible hairstyles, they make having emotions seem like a bad thing, and their music is a blight on society. There. We get it. There's nothing else to say, there's nothing else that hasn't been said, for chrissakes, GET THE FUCK OVER IT. I don't like emos any more than the next guy, but when the phrase 'emo' has been used to the point where my mind flip-flops and wonders how the fuck not only the term came to be, but how the very origin of the etymology of the word that spawned the slang term came to be, I think it's safe to say everyone's been using it too goddamn much I did the same thing with the word 'motor' once when I was twelve, and to this day I still fucking hate that word too, mostly because of stupid shop classes and NASCAR violating my mind with their existences. But really, I guess it kind of acts as a stall until you can come up with an actual original idea for a written piece, doesn't it? 'Oh, I can't think of anything interesting to write about, but I need to write something because I haven't updated my site in a while and already like two people have demanded updates from me and I need to update really badly and want to show off my mad writing skills but I don't have something to write about. Oh well, at least I can bash emos in the meantime.' Is that the thought process these ranters go through? Possibly. I don't know, I'm not them. Sure, I write similarly and shit, but that doesn't mean we all think along the same wavelength. I'm not trying to make myself out to be special; I too am guilty of writing a couple articles that I wasn't so much interested in writing as I was updating, but that was before I realized that when I don't update, I still get a fair number of hits just browsing my archives. My updates are now less contrived due to this revelation, and I'd like to think my readers appreciate that more than a mediocre update every x number of days without exception. Returning to the subject at hand, what is it about emos that make them so rantworthy? We've covered what makes them shitty people, I just don't understand how they can piss off as many people as they apparently have to warrant posts dedicated and devoted to their shittiness on every goddamn rant website I go to. I loved the first fourteen I read, really I did, but after that the theme got a little tiresome. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and yes I'm aware that much of the time online ranters have similar if not identical viewpoints on the occasional subject, but emo hatred is the only on that I have found thus far that has no exception to the rule. I have never read a pro-emo rant, never. Not that I would expect one, emos are indeed shitheads. But I don't even recall ever seeing a neutral standpoint, which is odd. Usually there's at least one guy trying to put a twist on a tired subject in order to breathe fresh life into the topic. As you may have suspected, that is what I'm attempting to do here. The emo rant is tired. You hate them. I get it. I hate them too. Now can we please stop giving them so much attention? That's exactly what those sappy wrist-slicing sentimental bastards want.
